Man bags jail term for stealing engine oil 

A Justice of the Peace courtroom sitting in Osogbo as we speak convicted a 39-years-old man, Ifamoyegun Remi for stealing engine oil at Mobil Submitting Station the place he works.

The Police prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Kayode advised the courtroom that the accused individual dedicated the offence on 11th of June, 2020.

The prosecutor mentioned that the accused individual have interaction in stealing engine oil of his employer since in 2016 until 11th of June, 2020.

He mentioned the engine oil stolen was valued on the sum of N 469,000.

The prosecutor acknowledged that the offence dedicated by the accused individual was opposite to and punishable beneath Part 383 and 390(9) of the Legal Code Cap 34 Vol.II, Legal guidelines of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

The accused individual pleaded responsible of the offence levelled in opposition to him. He mentioned he stole the oil as a result of he was unable to pay for his mom hospital invoice and his spouse surgical procedure.

The Defence Counsel, R.A Ugwu prayed for leniency.
The Justice of the Peace, Riskat Olayemi sentenced the accused individual to 7 months.
