…Our father lived superbly, says Chimamanda’s household

The household of the late Prof James Nwoye Adichie, father of famend author, Chimamanda Adichie, has formally introduced his demise.
An announcement by Chucks Adichie, made out there to Vanguard, described the deceased as somebody who had a fulfilled life.
The assertion stated upon his retirement, the late Prof Adichie, lived in his hometown, Abba, Njikoka Native Authorities Space, Anambra State, till his dying.

The assertion reads:”A life so superbly lived deserves to be superbly remembered. With deepest sorrow, the Adichie household announce the dying of our beloved husband and father, Professor James Nwoye Adichie, on Wednesday June 10, 2020.
He was 88 years previous.
“He recieved his PhD in statistics from Berkeley and went on to turn into Nigeria’s first professor of statistics. His devoted life’s work was on the College of Nigeria, Nsukka, the place he was named professor emeritus in 2016. Upon his retirement, he lived in his hometown, Abba, Njikoka Native Authorities Space, Anambra State.
“He’s survived by his spouse Mrs. Grace Ifeoma Adichie; their six youngsters: Ijeoma, Uchenna, Chuks, Okechukwu, Chimamanda and Kenechukwu; in addition to 9 grandchildren, in-laws and plenty of relations.
Funeral preparations might be introduced in the end.”
