RULING/JUDGMENT
- The Claimant commenced this suit against the 1st to the 4th Defendants by General Form of Complaint dated 12th June 2015 praying the Court for:
- A declaration that Nigerian Union of Mine Workers is different from Nigerian Coal Corporation, and covers a wider scope of interest outside that of only Coal Miners/Coal Corporation staff.
- A declaration that the property situate at No. 14A & B Bassey Street, Asata Mine Quarters, Ogbete Enugu belongs to 1st Claimant [Nigerian Union of Mine Workers] by virtue of the regularization of the allocation by 2nd Defendant [Nigerian Coal Corporation].
- A declaration that it is illegal, null and void, and of no effect and amounts to trespass for the Defendants to re-allocate and monetize, or attempt to re-allocate in order to monetize, the property situate at No. 14A & B Bassey Street, Asata Mine Quarters, Ogbete Enugu, to any other person outside the owner and occupier, being the 1st Claimant [Nigerian Union of Mine Workers].
